Hello! I am Sandra. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Alabama. I graduated with a Master of Science with my degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from California State University over twenty years ago. I hold an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Certification along with my Marriage and Family Therapist license. I have worked with clients struggling with a wide range of concerns, including stress and anxiety, grief, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and addictions.
Whether you are looking for a Therapist for a short-term issue or long-term “unraveling” of past issues, I have a myriad of evidence-based techniques and treatments in my toolkit. Regardless of the approach we take, you will find me Person-Centered. The Therapeutic alliance between me as the Therapist and you as the client must be one of trust and empathy in order for us to do our best work.
I welcome the opportunity to work with you as an individual or to come beside couples and families as they walk through the issues of life. Upon request, I will be happy to incorporate your Faith into our sessions and solutions. I have a Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. My education, professional and personal experiences have provided me with insight and understanding to work with a variety of issues.
