“The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary; He wakens me morning by morning, He wakens mine ear to hear as the learned.” (Isaiah 50:4)

There are many barriers that occur in life that can keep us from experiencing the wholeness we desire. In one’s walk towards wholeness and change, it is important that these barriers are overcome. The prism in which we view life, what we have learned about ourselves from our family of origin, what has happened to us, and what we tell ourselves about it are just a few. As a Christian counselor, it is my desire to provide a safe and accepting environment in which we can walk and work together to expose, understand, and overcome these barriers.

God has blessed me with a heart for the hurting adult and adolescent, and a burden for the family. In my practice, I have the privilege of working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, and cultures, and a range of presenting problems; including individuals struggling with grief, depression, anxiety, and OCD. I counsel married couples desiring healing from betrayal trauma, as well as couples who desire to break their patterns of conflict and obtain a deeper connection with their spouse. Presently, I am an onstaff counselor at the Hideaway Intensive Retreat located in Amarillo, Texas, for married couples in crisis, and have conducted Psalm 40 retreats for those in the ministry with their spouses.

Personally, I have been married for 43 years. I have 3 adult children and a multitude of grandchildren. In addition I was born and raised in Connecticut and come from a family of 10 siblings.

I conduct both in office and video telehealth sessions and look forward to working with you.
