Mr. Daniel Wilemon

Licensed Mental Health Counselor | M.Ed., LMHC, LCAS, CCS

I first developed an interest in counseling and psychology from listening to weekly radio broadcasts of Focus on the Family. I was also profoundly interested in Bible study since the age of 11, and listened to Dr. John MacArthur over the radio and by his cassette recordings. My father was a pastor, I accepted Christ at the age of 5. I became involved in all aspects of the church and its ministries, including evangelism, led children’s church, bus ministry, music, Sunday School teacher, later becoming an ordained deacon. I entered Tennessee Temple University majoring in Bible, then latered added a second degree majoring in Psychology and Ministerial Counseling while there. I married in 1986, had my first child then moved to North Carolina where I completed my Master’s degree in Community Agency Counseling, with Concentration in Marriage and Family. I have worked for years in community mental health, then later at a non-profit hospital system providing psychiatric and counseling services both inpatient and outpatient. I have worked outpatient part-time in Christian Counseling for many years, until finally entering full-time in Christian Counseling at our church. I have been married now for 37 years, have five children and 8 grandchildren.
