Licensed Mental Health Counselor | MEd, LMHC, LPC
I am married with 3 children and 2 step children. The youngest just graduated from high school in 2020 and is in basic training for the army. I enjoy the outdoors, cooking, baking, and eating out, watching movies and reading. I love learning about God and enjoy growing in my faith and love for God and others. It’s usually not easy telling a complete stranger your hidden fears and secrets. However you’ve done difficult things before so taking this leap of faith can lead to a relationship with your counselor that can give you strength to confront your issues and find renewed hope and solutions. I work with adults (18 and older) on a variety of issues, such as grief, anxiety, life transitions, improving relationships, and spirituality. My business name is Anchor of Hope and my desire if for you to find and/or build on to your hope.
I look at the whole person: physical, mental, social and spirituaI, and then cater my treatment according to your need to feel and function better. For clients with a faith background or focus, I believe it is beneficial to build upon one’s spirituality as a primary source of strength and encouragement for personal worth and growth. The word counselor comes from the Greek word parakletos, which means “one called alongside to help.” I will challenge you; walk beside you; coach you and cheer you on as you work through painful feelings, memories and current situations in which you find yourself.
