Licensed Mental Health Counselor | LMHCI
I provide Gospel-Centered Therapy services via a telehealth platform to anyone seeking help in Florida or Colorado. Regardless of what brings you to counseling, I take a very personable approach to therapy and will create a non-judgmental atmosphere filled with positivity and encouragement to challenge my clients to utilize their strengths in order to overcome challenges. While I tailor my approach to each individual client, I describe my primary therapeutic approach as “insight-oriented.” I strongly believe that gaining insight around the “why” and “how” of a problem is critically important; it is only by identifying the root of an issue that we can embark on the task of creating lasting change.
Keep in mind that in order to gain true understanding, we must also engage in deep emotional work. Identifying your feelings about the crux of the problem is a key component in generating improvement and fulfillment in your relationship with yourself and others. My preferred modality of therapy which I believe, and research demonstrates, to be very effective in treating these traumas (little ‘t’ or big ‘t’ trauma), reoccurring emotional triggers, depression, etc. is EMDR therapy (please see the EMDR tab on my website or ask for more information). Whether it be day to day challenges, processing past issues, or moving forward towards positive changes, I am here to help strengthen and enhance.
I welcome all clients with diverse issues through the use of empathy and unconditional positive regard. I aim to increase self-understanding while identifying what could be impeding on your personal growth and life enrichment. I have a special interest in working with those navigating past trauma, Conflict Resolution, Relational Communication, Child/Adolescent Development, and Religious trauma, all from a Biblical perspective. Please note, my services are completely online, provided during evening hours and on weekends to best facilitate everyone’s schedules.
I was born in Madrid, Spain and was raised in Lusby, Maryland.
