Lisa has a BA degree in Psychology and Parenting (Metropolitan State University), a MA degree in Educational Psychology and an Education Specialist degree in school psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver. In addition, she has taken extra course work at Missouri State University and Evangel University. For almost 20 years, before her family relocated to Missouri 7 years ago, Lisa worked with students and families as a school psychologist in Colorado. She worked with students suffering from severe emotional and behavioral deficits in both day treatment and self-contained classrooms. She was a member of the Crisis Response Team in Colorado and provided immediate assistance, support and counseling to children and staff in crisis situations, such as those directly impacted during and after the Columbine shootings. After moving to Missouri, Lisa obtained her license as a professional counselor and has been providing individual, marriage and family counseling. She also teaches her parenting program, Positive & Powerful Christian Parenting.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Lisa works at Hope Restored providing marriage intensives. In addition, Lisa provides individual, marriage and family counseling, as well as teaching her parenting program, Positive & Powerful Christian Parenting, through McGuire Christian Counseling in Springfield, MO.
