Hi! Thanks for stopping by to read a little more information. As you know, my name is Sydney. I am licensed in Pennsylvania and Texas! I have been licensed in the state of Texas since 2003. I earned my Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary in Jan 2002. And I have an MBA from Dallas Baptist University. After years and years in the field, I have really found a passion for helping people who are older teens all the way to those in their 70s and 80s! I do both individual and couples/marriage counseling. Because I usually utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques in my practice, I do really well with those struggling with depression and/or anxiety. For couples counseling, I use many of the Gottman techniques. Most importantly though, I meet the client where they are and try to figure out how to meet their needs. It is not a one size fits all situation. As a Christian Counselor, I aim to be an empty vessel that the Lord uses to do His work through our sessions. I am licensed in both Texas and Pennsylvania, and am 100% virtual. I use a secured video service to do online or virtual sessions. This has become very convenient in the digital age. I know that many people really prefer in person, but there are also several benefits to trying online as well.
