Licensed Professional Counselor | MA, LAC, CCTP
As a licensed counselor, I consider it a privilege to connect with clients helping them to achieve their personal and relationship goals. I have a passion for working with individuals who have experienced trauma, and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I have experienced the love and grace of God firsthand and witnessed how He can transform the lives of individuals, couples, and their families. My goal is to help clients to thrive in life and find peace and joy through Christ’s healing.
I believe that the foundation of effective counseling is a trusting relationship, and I strive to develop a deep understanding of my client’s experience. Empathy, compassion, and total acceptance are central to my work. I utilize a strength-oriented, collaborative approach that helps clients find the solution for positive growth.
At Renew Counseling Center, we believe that all people are created by God with physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs and that life is a journey that often has many challenging paths. Sometimes life’s obstacles can bring loss of joy and hope, brokenness and pain. Yet, God desires that we not just survive these challenges or remain in our brokenness and pain but be restored, healed and renewed to enjoy the life for which we have been created.
I hold a Bachelor in Psychology from Texas A&M University and have Master’s Degrees in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Addiction Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. Beyond my work at Renew Counseling Center, I have served as a counselor for both a dual diagnosis treatment center (serving individuals struggling with addiction and mental illness) and an inpatient psychiatric facility. Before attending graduate school, I provided compassionate care for individuals at a church for several years, where I gained valuable experience in Biblical counseling.
