Hello. Having been blessed to train at the Marriage and Family Institute at Abilene Christian University, and to have worked with individuals, couples and families of all ages, the decision to start a private practice in Austin, Texas seemed a normal progression for where I am at this time in my life. Licensed in marriage and family therapy in the state of Texas, since 2002 I have worked in various facets of mental health services prior to and since that time. As a member of the Christian Counselors of Texas, I believe in professional accountability standards and value honesty and integrity. I have been blessed to have experienced working with, and in support of, children, adolescents and adults with a specific focus on relationships. Support for single parent issues are offered as well. This is an area in which I have personal experience, having raised my own children as a single parent. I would be honored to partner with you in any of these areas to accomplish the goals you desire.
I currently offer virtual, or Teletherapy, sessions through a HIPAA compliant platform provided and monitored by Simple Practice. You can learn more about this option on my website at mthompsontherapy.com. We can discuss any questions you may have about that. This is also an acceptable format by many insurance companies. The locations mapped below are also available on a limited basis. You are welcome to inquire about those options if desired. In addition to certain insurance coverage, I accept most credit cards as well. All transactions are processed securely through an online processing service.
