Mrs. Elizabeth Curet

Licensed Mental Health Counselor | MS, LMHC

Maybe you are feeling sad and alone. Maybe you are sick of other people taking advantage of your kindness. Or maybe you grew up in a dysfunctional family and realize you’ve been shamed, abused, or traumatized. I can identify with those scenarios, and I’m qualified to help you.
I’ve been practicing formally since 2016. Beginning in 2007 I worked in the 12-Step world, helping people with addictions, codependency, and food issues. I earned a Master of Science degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University with specialization in Mental Health and Addictions. I’m certified in Shame Healing with the Center for Healing Shame, and I’m continuing my training in trauma-focused therapies.
I use CBT, Mindfulness, experiential therapies like Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as biblical interventions and prayer.
A key component of the therapeutic relationship is for you to feel emotionally safe. I make this an important priority, so we can work on the issues critical to you. I treat anger, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, aging, stress, trauma, guilt, and shame.
When you decide to call or email me, I want to hear briefly about your issue. I aim to help each person feel my compassion and care, as I’m truly concerned about every person who reaches out. I pray for every person who contacts me, as we go through the preliminaries of completing paperwork, learning about working with Telehealth and other options if that’s of interest to you, and setting up a time for our first session, and I continue to pray for you, as we work together.
If this sounds like the kind of counselor you would like to have, please contact me for a free phone consult.
