Lizelle earned her Masters of Counseling Degree from Dallas Baptist University in 2013. She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. During her graduate years, she trained at a mental health facility in a variety of areas, helping adults, couples, teens, and families explore and work through habitual patterns or an unexpected crisis. They learned coping skills to be able to support themselves or their loved one’s through symptoms of mental health and sometimes addictions. The training provided her with the ability to truly focus in on what a client was trying to accomplish during therapy and help them to succeed in their goals. Having that as a foundation, her treatment style blends and implements research proven treatment modalities and interventions that are conducive to helping her clients develop the skill set to maintain long-lasting change.
Lizelle’s approach to counseling is to help provide a safe place for you to share your story. Sometimes the stories of our lives don’t turn out the way we planned or expected it to. If you desire to make positive changes in your life, counseling can help. Lizelle understands it is not easy to share your story or relive painful memories or experiences. That is why through certain counseling techniques, she can help guide you to achieving your end goal.
