Licensed Professional Counselor | MDiv, LPC

“I need help” can be three of the most difficult words to accept. I am honored that you would even consider me to be part of that help. The most common feedback I get from my clients is, “You make me feel safe.” I want to be a safe, compassionate person that can walk alongside you as you grow past the hurts related to relational stress, the ramifications of deep hurts, and just the pain that haunts all of us on this side of Heaven. I want to encourage, challenge, and support you.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma. I graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master’s of Divinity in Licensed Counseling. My degree is unique because it equipped me to wrestle with the emotional and relational struggles of counseling in light of Scripture. I am an Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Certified Therapist, which is a unique therapy that I see the Lord use to bring hope to people that have faced excruciating trauma. I am also an authorized Darkness to Light facilitator, which means that I do trainings to prevent childhood sexual abuse. I am particularly passionate about doing those trainings in churches.

Whether there are 2, 3, 4, 5, or 8 of us in the room for counseling, I always say there is one “extra” helping us. The Holy Spirit is that extra being and He is the source of your help and mine. The Lord has equipped me with the skills, experience, and gifting to be used to help others, but ultimately He is the one that brings hope and freedom to each client that I see.

So what does that actually look like in a counseling room? It means that I am going to give you tools that are based on evidence from a biblical worldview and help equip you to face deep issues and move to abundant life.
