Mr. Richard Rupp

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist | M.Div., LMFT

Get on track to a better life, relationships and marriage. I offer individual, marriage and premarital counseling to help reach your goals in life and love. Christian clients often tell me they appreciate how their faith is included in our work together. One of my strengths is to combine the best of psychological insight with timeless biblical wisdom. I help clients to change old patterns like self-criticism, perfectionism, blame and shame to new patterns of grace, acceptance, and trust. I offer sexual therapy for issues like no-sex marriages to infidelity to sexual addiction. I also have extensive experience with multi-racial and multi-cultural couples. Lastly, I am an expert with Christian men. I teach and write on common men’s issues and also lead men’s groups and workshops. Additionally I’ve helped many Christian leaders who struggle with stress, isolation and shame. Therapy sessions can be in my office or by phone or video chat with Skype or WhatsApp. Give me a call to schedule your new life and marriage.

I have thirty years of experience as a psychotherapist in private practice in Pasadena, CA. Common issues I address are anxiety, depression, marriage conflict, sexual problems, and recovery from affairs. I graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary and taught there as an adjunct professor in the School of Psychology on Psychotherapy with Men. I write, blog and lead men’s groups and workshops. I also have a personal and professional background with multi-racial marriages and with Asian culture.

I co-authored the book, What Wives Wish their Husbands Knew about Sex: A Guide for Christian Men (Baker Books: 2007). The book gives Christian men the keys to a healthier and satisfying sexual life,
