Denise specializes in Christian counseling, individual therapy for adult women, trauma and critical incident response. Denise has been helping people address anxiety, depression, PTSD, complicated grief, adjustment issues, trauma, and life crises since 1997. She is trained in EMDR and provides critical incident stress management to groups and businesses after natural disasters and other significant events. Denise believes God has given us what we need to cope with our broken world and the consequences of it. She strives to help her clients discover their best selves and learn to cope with whatever is hindering them.
Renew Counseling is located at the Island City Baptist Church in Wilmington, IL.
Denise received a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M University. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of IL. Denise has served children, adolescents, families, and women in mental health clinics, hospitals, schools, churches, and private practice for 25+ years. She enjoys speaking at women’s events to empower and educate. She has a love of nature and believes God’s creation is meant to be a part of our daily lives.
