Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist | LMFT

I provide remote services only

I am an individual, couple, and family therapist with experience helping people find solutions to a wide array of presenting problems. I specialize in working with: Teenagers and Adults struggling with self esteem issues, depression, anxiety, loss of hope, Couple and family / relationship issues dealing with family stressors, blended families, and parenting/co-parenting issues.

I have worked extensively with families with child and adolescent problems. I believe the most effective and efficient way to help a person is to involve other members of their family so that the family reinforces any program of change.

Couples: Pre – marriage Counseling, Married couples working through difficulties that many couples experience during their marriage that may feel hopeless in repairing and co-parenting issues after a divorce.

Teenagers: Self esteem issues, bullying issues, hope, depression/anxiety, family and school issues.

Families: When working with a child in therapy due to behavior issues or depression/anxiety issues, I will ask to work with the child individually and also include the parents in the therapy process.

At Family Solutions Counseling, my practice is faith-based. My faith and life experiences are why I chose to become a Counselor. I also approach client concerns from a Solution-focused perspective. We all possess strengths and resources that can be used to attain personal growth and overcome life’s challenges.

Each person is doing the best they can considering the context they live in and the relationships that exist in their lives. My job is not to judge but to build a level of trust, provide support , encourage the client to feel safe in expressing symptoms and help find solutions.

I am a mother of three sons. I am also a grandmother to 4 wonderful grandkids. I raised my boys as a single mom throughout most of their life, and our family was able to succeed in that role despite the norm of not being considered possible. I went back to school to obtain my graduate degree in Marriage and Family therapy because of a calling I felt when several teenagers committed suicide in the area where I lived. My faith in God is my driving force when I enter the counseling room to help others.
