Mrs. Debbie Turner

Licensed Professional Counselor | MAMFT, LPC

Ever feel like you are trying as hard as you can and can’t seem to get to where you want to be? Feel hopeless? Wondering where God might be in your circumstances? Wanting personal or relational healing?

As a committed believer in Christ for over 45 years and a Christian trained therapist, I count it a privilege to help people discover new pathways for change. I also care about marriages and want to help couples move beyond their struggles. As someone that has been married for over 40 years with 4 children and 5 grandchildren, I can possibly related to the struggle you are in. With specialized training in Postpartum Depression and other pregnancy related mood issues, I also offer unique support to these struggling moms. Exploring spiritual issues is another focus for my practice. My goal is more than behavioral changes, it is transformation that will positively effect all relationships.

I am a licensed therapist an can offer in person sessions in Cumming, GA or virtual to anyone that lives and is present in the state of GA. I am not on any insurance panels, but can accept HSA or FSA cards as payment and can provide statements needed for out of network benefits.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have my Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy which is training above and beyond requirements for an individual therapist. I am Level 2 trained in Gottman Couple Therapy which is based on 35+ years of research (Gottman.com) as well as a Prepare-Enrich facilitator; both offering tailored assessments to aid in counseling for couples. I received my training in pregnancy related issues from Postpartum Support International (www.postpartum.net). I am also in training for application of IFS (Internal Family Systems: https://ifs-institute.com) that helps clients learn about their parts and how to help them work together more harmoniously. I practice from a Christian perspective if desired. I offer services to all, regardless of race, ethnicity, disability, or religious affiliation.
