Christy Billings began her counseling career in 1986. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from East Texas State University. Her experience has been focused strongly in the areas of marriage, parenting and women’s issues, with a key emphasis on addressing the challenges of depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, spiritual growth and grief. Christy desires to guide clients through a process of growth and insight in all areas of their lives, emotional, spiritual, mental, physical and in their relationships. Her desire is to provide clients with a sense of hope and a deeper understanding of themselves and their struggles, with a focus on assisting the client with developing solution-oriented skills.

Her professional experiences include college teaching as an adjunct professor at Dallas Baptist University, professional writing, clinical management, and facilitating intensive weekend growth workshops. Her background has allowed her an opportunity to serve clients in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient clinics within both secular and faith-based organizations. On a personal note, Christy has an extensive history volunteering in her church, community, and local school board. She and her husband, Brian, have been married 35+ years and have 3 children.
