Licensed Mental Health Counselor | MA, Med, LMHC
We go beyond “forgive-and-forget” helping.
We help others toward true healing, toward forgiveness, and toward real connection so that they can experience who they were created to become.
Sometimes the struggles we face are hard to change. Those problems are deeply rooted where real change feels almost impossible. During these times, people need others in the body of Christ with the training, supervision, and insight to guide them through their dark valleys.
The problems facing people today often feel overwhelming: divorce, stress, anxiety, fear, depression, anger, family struggles, adolescent rebellion, past sexual abuse, and deep sexual struggles with various addictions. The Genesis Institute counseling model adheres to Biblical revelation in our understanding of people and their problems. This model moves people toward solutions that promote spiritual maturity. Our deepest problems show themselves in our relationships. By focusing on how people relate with others in their unique worlds, using a scriptural framework, solutions emerge that encourage movement back to the original design–being good lovers of God and others where substantial healing can occur.
Genesis Institute is a non-profit organization that provides care and cure for human souls. Practically speaking, we do biblical counseling, mentoring and training. We cultivate vital skills and practices necessary for relating well to God and people throughout life’s challenges. We train and equip pastors, students, parents, and individuals, enabling them to understand the deep story of God living through them.Genesis Institute encourages people to share their unique stories, which enables them to mentor and minister to others. Sharing stories promotes relational discovery for maximum impact.
