Mrs. Lauren Strickland

Licensed Clinical Social Worker | LICSW, PIP

My husband and I recently transitioned home to the Hattiesburg, MS area after living and serving in ministry at a local church in Fairhope, AL. for the last 15 years. We have one son and a Boston Terrier. Outside of church ministry, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside vulnerable children and their families for about 17 years as a clinical social worker, primarily working with children who have experienced complex trauma; partnering with the families who love and care for them. I currently serve as Director of Training for Whole Child Initiative and when not training professionals and caregivers through WCI, I enjoy working with children and families in need of encouragement and support through counseling, couples preparing for the joys and challenges of marriage, and providing home study services to couples desiring to adopt domestically.

Services are Gospel-centric, relationally centered, attachment focused and trauma responsive. I am a Licensed Independent Certified Social Worker in Alabama & Mississippi. I am a Trust-based Relational Intervention Practitioner, Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics Phase One Partner and Prepare-Enrich Facilitator. I have received training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Theraplay, Trauma Competent Care, and TF-CBT. Focus Areas: Child & Family, Trauma & Attachment, Foster Care & Adoption (including domestic home study services), Pre-marriage Guidance, & Therapeutic Parenting.
