Lauren is a Christ follower, ministry wife and mom. She has had the privilege of walking alongside children and families for nearly 20 years as a clinical social worker, primarily working with children impacted by trauma and adversity and partnering with the families who love and care for them. Lauren currently serves as Director of Whole Child Initiative, providing trauma informed care training to professionals, organizations and caregivers. When she is not training others, she enjoys working with children and families in need of encouragement and support through counseling and with couples preparing for the joys and challenges of marriage.
Services are Gospel centered, attachment focused and trauma responsive. Lauren is a Licensed Certified Social Worker in Alabama & Mississippi, Trust-based Relational Intervention Practitioner, Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics Phase One Partner and Prepare-Enrich Facilitator. She has received training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Theraplay, Trauma Competent Care, and TF-CBT. Focus areas include child & family, trauma & attachment, foster care & adoption, pre-marriage guidance and couples counseling, and therapeutic parenting.
