Sherman Glenn, Founder and Director of Counseling Associates, has over 40 years of experience helping people with problems like yours. He was awarded a BA in Psychology, MRE in Education, a MA in Psychology, Standard Life Teaching and Administrative Credentials from the State of California, and a Marriage, Family and Child Counseling license from the State of California. He is an ordained minister in the state of California and served for 8 years on the staff at First Baptist Church, Modesto, CA as Associate Minister of Counseling.
Mr. Glenn has maintained a faithful relationship with God, through the saving grace of Jesus Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit, for 60 years. He has been joyfully married for 53 years to his wonderful wife, Sue, and they have 2 adult daughters. He considers himself a Biblically-based therapist while exercising his counseling skills. Approximately 40% of his clients are non-Christians. He serves on the Hope and Healing Board (deals with marital infidelity), has served a President of Valley-Sierra CAMFT, and is an active member of CAMFT (California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist).
Counseling Associates is housed in the facilities of Family Medical Group and Same Day Care at 911 E. Tuolumne Road, Turlock, CA. He is available for evening appointments.
Mr. Glenn is highly skilled in a variety of therapies including; solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive psychotherapy, family systems, grief therapy, and group therapy. He offers assessment and treatment of mood disorders, child development issues, marriage/family dysfunctions, and learning disabilities. He has taught (4th-Graduate) for 15 years and has been a Principal and Superintendent for 17 years.
