Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist | D.Min, LCPC, LMFT
I like and I believe in people. I find people to be incredible and fascinating in their ability to cope with, deal with, live through, learn from and change as a result of the experiences life throws at them. I always, always believe there is a way to move forward. There are times when the way is hard to find; there are times when our brains just shut down to the possibility that there is a way through the mess and uncertainty in front of us.
But I Know There Is A Way! God tells us that clearly!
There is always a way! My job is to help you believe that this is truth and then to find the way that works best for you.
(Even if that means you have to borrow my faith in you for a little while…)
I bring a combination of education, (a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and one in Pastoral Counseling as well as a Doctorate in Pastoral Counseling), a wealth of experience (in life as well as my work as a therapist) and a personality that is built for working with people. I help people because that is my life’s calling – what I give to the world and what I feel I have always been called to do and become.
Call and talk with me so I can learn more about how to help you!
I take a directive or coaching approach to my work. In a directive approach, the therapist/coach takes the lead in guiding the client through the process of addressing and dealing with the concerns presented at the outset of counseling. In this process, I will provide instruction on specific steps to be taken and may also assign homework. I will not just sit, nod my head and ask you once in awhile how you feel. I will take the time necessary to get to know you, understand your story and develop a relationship with you.
I am action oriented; get it done type of counselor. I have the experience and expertise to help you. Call and tell me more about your story.
