William B. “Terry” Langford III, M.A. is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of Florida. He was raised by Christian parents who served in a local church.He began his counseling career by starting church based counseling center. He has over 25 years of experience working in hospital inpatient programs, outpatient practice and church staff positions working with adults, adolescents, children, and their families. Recognized as an expert in helping to strengthen marriages and families, he is regularly called upon by organizations, churches, and companies to speak and conduct seminars. He has frequently appeared on radio and television to discuss issues of the family. His extensive background includes consulting for many Fortune 500 companies including Walt Disney World, Hilton, Lockheed Martin, Apple, and others. He is “on call” for Critical Incidents in the Central Florida region being on site to debrief law enforcement and fire/rescue personnel for tragic events including the Pulse night club shooting as well as serving major corporations and their staff when tragedies occur.
His practice has centered around helping marriages and families find hope and strength at all stages of family life. Helping couples through the crisis of recovering from affairs, divorce, remarriage and blended family issues has been a focus of his work.His work with the military as a Marriage and Family Life Consultant has taken him to military bases around the world. Terry’s vast experience working with adults, adolescents, and children give him a rich background of wisdom. Terry and his wife, Nancy, a LMHC, have five children, three of whom were adopted.
Early in his career he was selected as a trainer of trainers by the Building Family Strengths Project at the University of Nebraska. He is the founder/creator/writer of Celebrate Family, conducting events to strengthen families.Using the acrostic F.A.M.I.L.Y., this fast moving “edutainment” event brings hope to all families. Celebrate Family has been presented at churches and conference centers including Saddleback Church and the Glenn Erie Conference Center in Colorado Springs,CO.
