Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist | LCMFT
I love my clients and I love walking alongside them as they move toward wholeness. I see a wide range of issues, including anxiety of all kinds, depression, relationship issues and traumas of all levels. Clients frequently aren’t sure at first what they want to change. As we establish a trusting relationship and a safe environment, change seems to happen almost spontaneously.
My goal as a Christian therapist is to guide my clients into the renewal of their minds by replacing lies with truth. Because many of the lies we’ve based our lives on are rooted in things learned in childhood, we might explore their origin. I use many different therapies to tailor treatment to their needs, including somatic therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which helps us access beliefs and fears we hold at a deeper level, even outside of our awareness.
I’ve been a Believer for almost 60 years, married for over 40! But that doesn’t mean my life has been care free. Life is challenging because we live in a fallen world with fallen people (and I’m one!), but God is both sovereign and good. God continues to work in and through me to accomplish his purpose in my little corner of the world.
I lead/teach a Bible study lat our local church and I love to study the Bible and theology. This study helps inform what I do and is a very important part of my therapy practice.
