Licensed Psychologist | PhD, MS LMFT, LMFTS
I have been counseling individuals, couples, teens and families for the past 40 years. I have extensive experience in marriage and family and have been privileged to write a book on family healing that was published by FOF and have been on the broadcast with Jim Daly 4 times. In all these years I consider it an honor and a privilege to be a part of the healing process with all types of people. I love to work with people who have past trauma from childhood or previous unhealthy relationships which is affecting their current relationships. I use a model which I developed of therapy that helps them attach their current unhealthy behaviors to past pain as I utilize the love of God that heals our soul wounds and restores us to wholeness. I then teach people very practical tools and techniques which are based on CBT, Family Systems and Scripture designed to help bring them awareness, insight and transformation.
I started my practice 38 years ago called Rodgers Christian Counseling with my husband Dr. Tom Rodgers to treat individuals, couples, teens, children and families with presenting problems such as depression, anxiety, trauma. past abuse, codependency, addiction, parenting, poor relationship skills, bipolar depression, ADHD, OCD and suicide, grief and loss, poor relationship skills, spiritual issues and more. I now have 8 other therapists working with us. We do seminars, workshops, and couples intensives called Soul Healers Couples Weekends and Healing the Soul Workshops for individuals.
I have a PhD in Clinical Christian Counseling, and a Master’s Degree in Marital and Family. I have been a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist since 1985 and a Supervisor for 20 years. My husband Dr. Tom Rodgers and I founded Rodgers Christian Counseling and the Institute for Soul Healing Love in Charlotte, North Carolina almost 4 decades ago.
I have written 5 books on relationships the most recent published by Focus. I developed the Soul Healing Model of therapy which I teach across the globe and do couples workshops and intensives together with my husband.
