Mr. Bob Parkins

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist | MS, LMFT

I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and enjoy working with couples, individuals, and groups. Although I work with many issues, I’m known locally for helping men/couples find freedom from sexual addiction, and heal from the resulting trauma and brokenness of the betrayal. I work primarily with adults, but also enjoy working with teens.

I worked in a community clinic in 1999, and later practiced several years with the Meier Clinics (formerly Minirth Meier and New Life Clinics) intensive Day Program, and later transitioned into private practice after becoming licensed in 2005. I’ve led a weekly therapy group for men recovering from sexual addiction since 2003, and previously led groups for New Life Ministries’ “Every Man’s Battle” workshops. I also have experience leading groups for: substance abuse, domestic violence, parenting classes, and a support group for children of divorce.

I received my Masters of Science (MS) in Marital and Family Therapy from the School of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary under COAMFTE accreditation (the highest level of MFT accreditation in the United States), and Bachelors of Arts (BA) in Psychology from Azusa Pacific University.

I’ve had a handful of articles published on various websites on relationships and addiction recovery. I also write an advice column for a locally published magazine, in which I focus on marriage, parenting, and family relationships. I was a featured co-host on the former local radio program, “A New Creation Today,” and occasionally speak at a variety of engagements.
