Tom is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Pennsylvania, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. For over 30 years has worked as a therapist for individuals with a variety of issues, including depression, panic attacks, OCD, and trauma, and as a social worker working with people who struggle with serious mental illness, homelessness, and addictions. His private practice has locations in Pittsburgh and McMurray, PA. Tom is active in his local church, and active in practicing spiritual disciplines.
Tom has completed the Foundations and Practicum training courses in Gestalt Pastoral Care, a modality that creatively involves the whole person -body mind and spirit- in the process of wholeness and integration for symptom relief. He has extensive training in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, and interpersonal neurobiology.
Tom has a Master’s degree in Counseling from Regent University, a school that integrates faith and psychology, and graduated Magnum cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work.
