Ed is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Missouri, working with couples, men, women, families, and teens. His counseling experience includes issues related to couples (including pre-marital), anger, sexual addictions, attachment disorders, depression, grief, ADHD, bi-polar disorder, and ministry issues. His approach to counseling theory is to integrate sound theories (including Family Systems and Emotion-Focused Therapy) with Biblical wisdom. Licensed as a Presbyterian minister, Ed has over fifteen years experience in church ministry, much of which involved counseling. His counseling training included supervision under the Boston Christian Counseling Center and Crossroads Christian Counseling in St. Louis. He has served as an Assistant Pastor of Arts and Community Life at Christ the King in Cambridge, MA and as a Lead Pastor at Lake Trails Presbyterian in Madison, WI. He has also directed college ministry in St. Louis and Lawrence, KS with Central Presbyterian Church and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. He completed his MA in Counseling and Masters of Divinity at Covenant Theological Seminary in 2000. He also holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa and a BFA in Painting from the University of Kansas. Ed and Margaret have been married since 1993 and have three children.
