Licensed Professional Counselor | MA, LPC
My ideal client/clients are those with a personal relationship with God. Because I rely upon the Holy Spirit before, during and after session, I feel suited to deal with a client’s issues because He guides me and brings the clients to me. I depend upon His guidance and wisdom as well as my 36 years of practice, education and training.
However, I have worked with lesbians, military, sex offenders ( had a male group in two cities for years), and other populations as the Lord leads.
I share an office in Bend, OR with my Physician son, who travels to several other offices in the State. Now, however, I am speaking to clients from my home on the telephone and/or face time.
Because of the restrictions of Covid 19, I am not able to use my office for face to face sessions and therefore mail initial forms, assessments, teaching tools to the client which they then mail back.
Much to my surprise this is working out well but not ideal.
I received my BA SUMMA CUM LAUDE in 1982 and my MA, a two year program, from the University of Oregon, in 1984. I have three adult children, one daughter and two sons, who all own their own businesses. They, as well as their father and I, exhibit characteristics of ADHD which makes it easy for me to diagnose clients struggling with similar issues.
I live in the country, have a horse, several chickens, attend a wonderful Foursquare Church, participating on the Greeting team.
Many trials have come my way via divorce, cancer, injuries, & losses which have caused me to press closer to the Lord.
