Mrs. Leah Hamilton

Leah received her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Institute of Family Studies at Biola University and Rosemead Graduate School in California,which is known for their integration of psychotherapeutic techniques with Scriptural principles into a Christian counseling model. She has been in private practice for 35 years working with adults, adolescents, children in play therapy, marriage and family counseling.Her emphasis in childhood development and attachment has made her a highly effective child therapist, and capable therapist working with adults who have experienced abuse or trauma as children. She has specialized in children’s play therapy during her entire practice.

Leah’s passion is to strengthen marriages, help individuals reach their full potential and balance in their relationships and vocations. She has been married for 42 years, and has 3 adult daughters. Helping guide children, individuals, and parents in truth with themselves and others, and a growing faith are valued in her practice.

Leah is valued in the community as a consultant to churches and businesses for leadership development, conflict resolution, and morale building. She also contributes articles for local publications. Leah has presented seminars on depression, anxiety, and working with children in counseling at local schools and churches; most recent at Saddleback.
