Mrs. Mariana Glass

I work with clients who have varying worldviews, although I typically work with people seeking counsel from a Christian perspective. My worldview reflects a Christian belief system that is grounded in God’s written Word, the Bible. An overarching objective in my work with clients is to encourage their personal growth and help them relate with integrity in their relationships — with friends, spouse, family, neighbors, co-workers. Whatever the client’s perspective, my goal is to provide sound clinical expertise with care and respect for each client as we collaborate for their health and well-being.

I view counseling as a collaborative process … a partnership. The client has identified the need for help and has courageously taken the first step of setting up and keeping that first appointment. My job is to provide a respectful, confidential relationship in which they can explore the challenges of life. It’s an amazing relationship, really — while I am in the designated helping role, I am learning constantly from the insights and courage of my clients.

Mariana R. Glass, M.A., L.C.M.H.C. is owner and sole practitioner of Asheville Counseling and Training Services, Inc. (“ACTS, Inc.”), a North Carolina Professional Corporation. Mariana received her B.S. in Business Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1986. Mariana began a two-decade career with First Union/Wachovia Bank, primarily as a corporate training designer and facilitator. Mariana received her Master of Arts degree in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, N.C. in 2001. Her primary focus now is counseling and related teaching opportunities.
