Mr. John Doran

A native of New York, John W. Doran attended undergraduate school at the State University of New York @ Stony Brook receiving a B.S. in Sociology. He received an MSW in Clinical Social Work from the State University of New York @ Stony Brook – Social Welfare Program.

John W. Doran has trained in multiple disciplines such as; EMDR, Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Anger Management, IMGO Therapy, etc. He has interned at Sunrise Psychiatric facility in New York, Smithtown Psychiatric Facility in New York and for the State Legislative Program – Community Services Program – in New York.

John has been in Practice over 29 years. His style and approach engages the Client and assists with addressing the issue(s) being identified, to gain “insight(s)” into the origins of the issue(s) and putting closure/acceptance of the identified issue(s).
