Danita Brewer

While I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for a short time, I have been in the helping profession for over 30 years. My journey has been both personally and professionally rewarding! My journey with God has been one of over 50 years.

I have taken a very nontraditional career path over the years, first beginning with engineering, then moving to Human Resources, and finally to counseling. My myriad of professional experiences in both the corporate and mental health sectors have equipped me with a unique set of skills and a wealth of knowledge to help others to live their best life.

I have worked with young children, adolescents, and adults. Clients have presented with issues such as anxiety, depression, communication problems, marital concerns, parenting, ADHD, eating disorders, grief/loss, self-injury and social skills development.
In addition to working with individuals and families who present with a broad range of personal, relational, and clinical concerns, I am passionate about working with and equipping couples before and after they say, “I Do.” I am trained in Level 3 Training Gottman Method Couples Therapy and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I believe with the power of God, healing and transformation are possible from the things in life that try to break us. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship helping individuals and families to live their best life, void of unresolved issues. I am passionate about helping others and I help with openness, empathy, warmth and respect. I know that change can be difficult and I offer support and encouragement to clients while they take the courageous steps toward impactful change.
