Are you struggling with anxiety or depression? Are you grieving a loss or recovering from a traumatic experience? Do your relationships feel like they are falling apart? Whatever you are going through, you are not alone. The weight of these struggles can weigh you down and convince you that your problems are bigger than God. Perhaps the struggles you’re facing have left you feeling disconnected or discontented in your relationship with God. Maybe you’re questioning His plan for your life. With 18 years of experience treating individuals who have experienced trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, depression and relationship issues, I am here to let you know that no matter how challenging life gets there is always hope.

In 1996, I began my counseling career working with adolescents and adults in an outpatient setting at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD. After moving to New Jersey, I had the privilege of working at Beacon Light Christian Counseling Center for 4 years before beginning an 12-year career at Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare. While at Rutgers I held both clinical and leadership roles. I am currently the owner at Growth for Living Counseling, providing therapy that specializes in the treatment of trauma, grief/loss, anxiety and depression. To learn more about my experience and the services that I offer, visit my website at www.GrowthForLiving.com.

No matter how challenging life gets there is always hope. “Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have HOPE: because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed.” Lamentations 3:21-22 You’ve already taken the first step toward healing by visiting this site, now it’s time to take the next step by contacting me. I offer online therapy via video sessions on a secure, HIPAA compliant platform for individuals anywhere in NJ, as well as, face-to-face sessions in Warren, NJ.

Just for fun… I love pottery and on my bucket list is to one day sit behind the potters wheel and learn to create my own. What about you? What’s on your bucket list? When I am not seeing clients, I enjoy relaxing on the beach or in nature while reading a good book, nourishing my soul and relationships. I love hiking with my husband and dog and spending time with our two adult sons.

I have a Master’s Degree (MA) in Counseling from Trinity University (Washington, DC) and pursued Advanced Graduate Studies in Counseling at Johns Hopkins University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of New Jersey, a National Certified Counselor (NCC) by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) through the Center for Credentialing & Education.
