Hello & Welcome!

My name is Dr. Damaris Conrad and I am the Founder and Executive Director of Mariah Ministries: Center for Family Therapy, Resources and Training, Inc., since 1994. As a faith-based Counseling Center, our desire is to provide faith-based, licensed, professional Counseling at an affordable fee.

During the early years, we provided Christian-based Therapy and served Focus on the Family client referrals with consistency, transparency, and integrity. For the last 2-3 years, we began experimenting with remote Teletherapy Platforms, (prior to COVID-19), and received lots of client feedback about the “fit” Teletherapy had in the lives of clients.

We discovered that clients welcomed the opportunity to connect with their therapist at home, work, in the car, during their fitness walks around the park, and or in their Rv, while they traveled or went on vacation. As a result, clients began requesting their F2F appts to be moved to the remote Teletherapy platform, because they loved the convenience, flexibility and confidentiality.

When Covid-19 hit, we received many calls around depression, lost jobs, or anxiety around staying home, and learning how to convert their work at home to what they normally did in their offices. Thankfully, we were already on our way to providing this type of service to our California and Idaho clients.

More recently, we were accepted into the Christian Counseling Network, (sponsored by Focus on the Family), and have added Idaho along with California, as our second state to offer remote Teletherapy, instead of requiring traditional office visits. We discovered that we were one of a few Counseling locations that provided clients with this Teletherapy option.

By way of a quick background and a little about me: I hold two Masters, (MA in Counseling Psychology, MS in Educational Psychology) and a Ph.D. Currently, I hold 2 licenses in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy (LMFT) which allows me to serve the State of California and Idaho populations, along with State certification for Clinical Supervision.

I also hold 2 Coaching Certifications from AACC which certifies me to work in areas of health and wellness, as we explore, coach, consult, educate, and support the impact of Health & Wellness upon relationship and interpersonal issues. Lastly, over the past 20 years, I have served as a professor and Clinical Intern Supervisor at various on ground and online Universities in the Masters and Doctoral Counseling programs in Higher Education.

Thank you for letting me walk alongside of you as you learn to navigate the issues. While I can’t do the work for you, I can assure you that you are not alone as you walk through these seasons of confusion, darkness, fear, uncertainty, healing, recovery, and doubt.
